I'd like to welcome you to my website - RichWorldPhotography. Through this site I hope to interest you in Digital Photography and its many facets.
A little about me. I have spent much of my adult life traveling to, living in and working in many foreign countries. As a helicopter pilot I was able to call many places home including Alaska for two years, South East Asia for one year and Central/South America for three and a half years. During this time I always carried some sort of camera with me. Unfortunately, in those days it was sometimes months until I was able have pictures developed. I went from working in the helicopter industry to flying for an international company which further extended my travels around the world. I traveled extensively in South America, Africa, the Mid East and Europe. I recently retired from a major airline where I finished my flying career as an International Captain.

Fortunately, Digital Photography was beginning to take off, and I was reintroduced to this wonderful hobby by one of my airline friends. For me it was great to be able to document my travels and pursue something I had always loved which was photography and wild animals. To be able to return to many of the places I had lived to photograph disappearing wild animals has been gratifying.
Most of my photography schooling has been in the field which is the best part of it. I have always felt you have to put yourself into position and take yourself to the right place if you want the picture.
I am a contributing photographer to AP International and BBC and have had several photos published in trade journals.
Presently, I have two photos on exhibit through the Wildling Art Museum. They will be displayed for the next two years at several venues including the Department of Interior Museum, the Wildling Art Museum and the Wildlife Experience in Denver, Colorado.
Along the way of this great adventure, I have had several mentors and many friends who have helped me considerably. It's such a pleasure to meet with these people in the field and compare stories and experiences of wildlife photography. I hope to see you along the way.
